What Goes Into Every Report
Every batch of GanodermaTown spore powder and spore oil is sent to an independent ISO 17025-accredited laboratory before it reaches your hands. We test across three categories — because potency means nothing if purity is missing.
1. Active Compound Potency
You're buying Ganoderma for its triterpenes and polysaccharides. We measure them precisely so you know exactly what you're getting — not just "contains lingzhi," but the actual milligram-level breakdown.
| Compound | Typical Range in Our Products | Industry Minimum (Chinese Pharmacopoeia) |
|---|---|---|
| Total Triterpenoids (spore oil) | ≥ 20 g / 100 g | No mandatory standard |
| Total Triterpenoids (spore powder) | ≥ 1.5 g / 100 g | ≥ 1.0 g / 100 g |
| Polysaccharides | ≥ 1.2 g / 100 g | ≥ 0.9 g / 100 g |
| Ganoderic Acid A | Detected & quantified | Qualitative only |
2. Heavy Metal Safety
Ganoderma is a fungus — it absorbs whatever is in the soil it grows on. That's why sourcing matters. Our mountain-grown Reishi is cultivated far from industrial zones, and every batch is screened for the four heavy metals that matter most.
| Heavy Metal | Our Detection Limit | USP / EU Pharmacopoeia Limit | Our Results |
|---|---|---|---|
| Lead (Pb) | ≤ 0.05 mg/kg | ≤ 5.0 mg/kg | Not detected / ≤ 0.5 |
| Arsenic (As) | ≤ 0.05 mg/kg | ≤ 2.0 mg/kg | Not detected / ≤ 0.3 |
| Cadmium (Cd) | ≤ 0.02 mg/kg | ≤ 1.0 mg/kg | Not detected |
| Mercury (Hg) | ≤ 0.01 mg/kg | ≤ 0.1 mg/kg | Not detected |
3. Microbial Contamination
Spore powder is a raw natural product — improper handling or storage can introduce bacteria, mold, and yeast. Every batch passes through a full microbial panel before release.
| Test | Standard | Our Results |
|---|---|---|
| Total Aerobic Plate Count | ≤ 10,000 CFU/g | ≤ 1,000 CFU/g |
| Total Mold & Yeast | ≤ 100 CFU/g | ≤ 10 CFU/g |
| E. Coli | Negative in 1 g | Negative |
| Salmonella | Negative in 25 g | Negative |
| Staphylococcus aureus | ≤ 100 CFU/g | Negative |
How to Read a Certificate of Analysis
If you've never looked at a COA before, it can seem like a wall of numbers. Here's what to focus on:
- Batch / Lot number — this ties the report to a specific production run. Every bottle we ship carries this number on the label so you can match it to the COA.
- Testing laboratory — look for an ISO 17025 accreditation mark. This means the lab has been independently audited for competence.
- Specification vs. Result — the "spec" column shows the acceptable range; the "result" column shows what was actually measured. If the result falls outside the spec, the batch is rejected.
- Date of analysis — confirms the report is recent and corresponds to the batch in question.

Common Questions About Our Testing
Can I see the lab report for my specific bottle?
Yes. Each bottle label carries a batch number. Contact us with that number and we'll send you the COA for that production run — not a generic template, the actual report.
Why don't you post all reports publicly on this page?
Each COA contains proprietary batch-level data from accredited labs. We provide them on request to prevent unauthorized commercial use while remaining fully transparent to our customers.
Do you test every single batch?
Yes. Every production batch undergoes the full panel — potency, heavy metals, and microbiology — before it leaves the facility. No exceptions.
What happens if a batch fails?
It is rejected. Period. A failed batch never reaches a bottle. Our quality control is binary: pass or discard.
How does your spore oil triterpene content compare to other brands?
Our spore oil consistently measures ≥ 20% total triterpenoids. Many commercial oils fall below 10%. The difference comes from raw material quality and supercritical CO₂ extraction parameters — both of which we optimize aggressively.
